Está prontinha para ser feito download da nova versão do Ubuntu desktop e server e seus familiares directos, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, UbuntuStudio, e Mythbuntu.
Algumas das novas características são, suporte 3G Wireless, sessões de guest que permitem a partilha entre computadores sem colocar a segurança em causa, directoria encriptada para cada utilizador usando ecryptfs, um criador de máquinas virtuais integrado, Virtual Machine builder, suporte total a Java.
Em 30 de Outubro de 2008 deverá estar cá fora a versão final!

Bons downloads, quanto ao KDE4.1 em Kubuntu, esta versão já não tem o KDE3, cuidado com as drivers da Nvidia, parece que não estão grande espingarda para o novo plasma, a equipa do KDE já informou a Nvidia que terão de melhorar o seu driver, mais info aqui.
Desktop features
